5. Tri-fold wallet – similar to the above, but with three folds.
6. Jimi – a small plastic box intended to be used in lieu of a wallet. It holds five credit cards and three folded bills. Introduced in 2005, it was marketed as “The Wallet for People Who Hate Wallets”.
7. Wallet band – a type of wallet that uses a continuous elastic band, made of fabric or rubber, to secure cards and/or cash.
8. Chain wallet – a wallet secured to the pants by a chain. First used by bikers to prevent losing their wallets while riding, it experienced resurgence in popularity with the rise of punk and grunge fashion in the 1980s and 1990s.
9. Front pocket wallet – also called a money clip, this type is used to hold money bills. Consequently, it has no currency compartment and very few pockets for cards.
